This class provides individuals with the information and skills necessary to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies. This course is a great way to learn what you can do if an aquatic emergency occurs, and is geared toward public safety personnel such as police officers, EMS personnel, firefighters, babysitters, daycare workers and anyone else involved in water activities. (Max: 10 Min: 6)

Community Water Safety Ages 10 & up $40 Member/$60 Non-Member
Wednesday; June 25; 5 to 9 PM; Place: Indoor Pool; (Code 426106-02) There are three ways to take this class: As an observer; as a participant; or, as a lifejacket wearer. Learn ways to stay safe while having fun. Class will include instruction on water hazards, aquatic recreation, home pool safety, & what to do ‘til help arrives. (Max: 10 Min: 6)

Guard Start Ages 11 to 14 $40 Member/$60 Non-Member
This American Red Cross program is designed for the Level 6 swimmer. Water safety skills, using the rescue tube and backboard, will be developed. This class is a preparation for the young pool lifeguard-to-be. Participants must be strong swimmers.
